Diabetes Heredity and Genomics

Diabetes, a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by high blood glucose levels, has a strong genetic component. The two main types of diabetes, Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) & Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) Both types of diabetes benefit from genomic research, which aids in understanding disease mechanisms, identifying biomarkers for early diagnosis, and developing personalized treatment strategies. Advances in genomics continue to improve our knowledge of diabetes and hold promise for more effective interventions.
